About Mel

I graduated with my counseling degree in 2011. While in grad school, I took a course on Human Sexuality. It was there that I first heard sex discussed in an open, positive, and healthy way.  I became aware of how damaging sexual shame has been for individuals and relationships. I pursued training in sex therapy and completed my supervision in 2015. My heart now is to work with individuals and couples to help them experience freedom from sexual shame, trauma, and other sexual dysfunction. My practice is open and affirming - wherever you are in your journey, you are warmly welcomed in my office.

Outside of my office work, I love spending time with my three kids & two dogs (it’s a busy house!). We have lots of dance parties, day trips to Galveston, and baseball practices. I’m also a runner - I love running trails and am currently training for my first ultramarathon.
